Dear Friends,
House Church Conference (August 11-13) Churches
from Gainesville, Raleigh, and Atlanta met for our annual house church conference in
Rincon, GA this year. It was a different feel this year as we not only gathered
to sing and pray, but we also had “learning communities.” We spit up into our respective
churches to evaluate what God has done this past year, and where we are
currently. We discussed our challenges, and what do we think God wants to do
with us. We concentrated on hearing from God personally and speaking into one
another’s lives when we assembled back together. It was truly edifying and
practical needs were addressed. Thank you for praying for us! Keep up the good
work. We praise God for having you on our team!
College Students I plan to join
Rich and Katherine Suplita to do some outreach this fall at the University of
Georgia and at Clemson University. Indeed, as the Lord Jesus implored us,
“The harvest is plentiful and the workers
are few. Therefore, ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into the
harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38
Recently, our church read The Great
Evangelical Recession by John Dickerson. (I highly recommend it!) We were
shocked to read that so many college students give up their faith when they
leave home. One study said that over 700 a day turn from Christianity!
Therefore, please pray for us as we join Brian Bridgeman and others to share
the powerful message of Christ with Clemson students. It is an urgent need.

2017 House Church Conference
Prayer Requests
1. House Church Conference
Please pray for each church to act on what God showed them during the
conference. Pray for us to stay encouraged in the Lord and His love for us so
that we can boldly share truth with people in our communities. Pray for the
Spirit of God to make many new converts. Finally, pray for us to keep learning
how to hear His voice by the Holy Spirit, through His word, and through one
another.
2. Outreach to College Students Pray for Rich, Katherine, Brian,
and I for our evangelism September 27-28 at Clemson. Pray for the Spirit of God
to bring students into a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you!
3. Outreach in Atlanta Please
pray for Timmy and Kenyon who just moved to Clarkston (in the Atlanta area) to
reach internationals. It is the most diverse square mile in America because of
the thousands of immigrants and refugees who come to live there. There are many
opportunities.
Also, pray for our friends, Abel
and his wife Francesca, to continue to seek the Lord with Danelle and me. They
have been more open than ever. A young Christian couple, Chris & Maria,
have agreed to help us translate to reach the many Hispanics God has brought
into our lives.
Finally, pray for everyone in our
church to grow in our love for the unbelievers all around us so that we can
share the good news of Christ with them. The harvest is plentiful here too!
