Dear Saints,
We all know that life is unpredictable and
change is to be expected. But something like what happened to us was far beyond
our expectations as well as our faith. Here is what happened…
Danelle had routine hernia surgery on September 9th.
On September 12th at 1:30am, Steve called 911 because she was unconscious and laboring
to breathe. They rushed her to the ER at Northside Hospital. She was there five
days. Her sodium levels dropped to the dangerous level of 114. That hindered
her cognitive function which took days to recover, as it cannot safely be done
too quickly. Her doctors said that she didn’t have a stroke and the surgery looked
good. She has been home now for a few days. She is gradually getting stronger and
the pain is much less. 2 Samuel 20:22 reminded us how God rescues us because He delights in us!
We
have seen God’s grace and love in so many ways through this trauma. Our family
and church have been by our side, literally - in the hospital and here at home.
Their prayers were answered! The meals they provided for us have also shown us
Christ’s love. Jesus said, “Your love for one another will prove to the
world that you are my disciples.” John 13:35 So true! So powerful!
Merry Our daughter is due to have her 4th
child today. She is doing well, but Junior has decided to hold off on his grand
appearance. She and Nathan already have a daughter and two sons.

Trip September
21-28 Steve canceled his trip to care
for Danelle during her recovery. This verse came to mind regarding our plans. “The
mind of a man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” Timmy Powers
and his team will still go and provide a time of rest and spiritual refreshment
for the nationals. Please pray for everyone involved!

Church Please pray that Eve
and Gavin come to know Christ and build their relationship on Him. Pray that
the Shirleys’ house sells. Pray that Kerianna and Jeffry love their children
and foster children well, and that Jeffry surrenders his life to Christ. Laura and
Brent are hosting Sunday; please pray that Brent comes to know Jesus.
Virginia Church Please continue to pray for Mariella’s rebab to help her
shoulder and hip. Pray for Jeff’s health and for his wife and children. Pray
for Brian and Jen’s relationship and her upcoming labor and delivery well go
well. Pray for Liz who feels overwhelmed by caring for her family and friends.
Ask God to give the church faith to love each other and to have peace!
Springfield Church Pray
for my sister, Patty, as she grieves the loss of her son, Grayson, one year
ago. Pray for God’s comfort for the church member
whose father recently passed away.
Atlanta Church Pray for Danelle’s full recovery and for emotional healing
for Steve.
Merry Ask God for a safe delivery and healthy son for
Merry and Nathan.
Ukraine
Mission Trip Pray for the team
to be filled with Christ’s love and to speak words of encouragement to the
Ukrainians. Pray for health, safety, and for needs to be met by the Spirit.
